Lovable’s security scan, explained
Lovable checks your app every time you publish, and you can ask for a deeper review. Both are worth running. Here is what they look at, what Lovable itself says they cannot promise, and what to do when they come back with warnings.

Quick scan
Runs on its own every time you publish and takes seconds. It reviews your database’s access rules and settings (tables without row level security, rules that let everyone through, file storage rules), checks your npm packages for known critical vulnerabilities and flags an MCP server your app exposes without a login. Results come as Critical, Warning or Info.
Deep scan
Reads your application code as well, in seven areas: access control, unauthenticated or abusable endpoints, unsafe input, leaked secrets, payments and billing, authentication and exposed personal data. Lovable can also connect Wiz for code and dependency analysis, and Aikido for an AI penetration test that tries your running app.
Second opinion
What Lovable says the scans can’t do
“These tools help identify common security issues, but they cannot guarantee complete security.” And: “For apps handling sensitive data or critical functionality, consider an additional professional security review.” Lovable docs
A scan gives you a list. What a list cannot tell you is which items matter for your app and which can wait, whether a warning that disappeared was fixed or only silenced, and whether your app is ready to let real people in. That last answer is what a human review is for.
In a Safety Scan I read your code and your database rules, prove every critical problem on your live app with two test accounts and give you a straight answer: ready to launch, or not yet, with a fix prompt for each problem. From $149 for the first 10 customers, report within 2 business days.
Got database warnings?
Most of them come down to row level security. These explain the common ones, with a check you can run and a fix prompt:
Rather check it yourself first?
My free self-check prompt makes your AI look for eight common problems and explain them in plain English.
